1.1. AutoNexus (Pty) Ltd (“AutoNexus”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1.2. This Privacy Policy explains how AutoNexus collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit the Renovatr website or use the Renovatr Service.

1.3. In relation to personal information of interior designers and website visitors, AutoNexus acts as the Responsible Party.

1.4. In relation to personal information of clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other third parties uploaded by users of the Service, the user acts as the Responsible Party and AutoNexus acts as an Operator processing such information on the user's behalf.

2. Information Collected

2.1. Account Information: Name and email address. Passwords are managed by an authentication provider and are not stored by AutoNexus.

2.2. Project and Client Data: Information you enter about your projects, clients, deliverables, subcontractors, suppliers, invoices, snag lists, and related project management data.

2.3. Usage Data: Timestamps associated with your account activity, such as when records are created or modified.

2.4. Device Information: Standard server infrastructure may record your IP address and browser information when you access the Service.

2.5. Payment Information: Payment references and dates associated with your subscription, recorded when payments are received.

2.6. Uploaded Files: Photos, documents, and other attachments you upload in connection with your projects.

2.7. Waitlist and Marketing Information: If you join a waitlist or subscribe to updates, your email address and any information you voluntarily provide.

3. How Your Information Is Used

3.1. AutoNexus uses your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Process transactions and send invoices
• Communicate with you about your account
• Improve and develop the Service
• Comply with legal obligations
• Protect against fraud and unauthorised access
• Send you product updates, launch notifications, or marketing communications where you have opted in

4.1. AutoNexus processes your personal information based on:

6.2. Where your personal information is transferred outside South Africa, AutoNexus takes reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient provides an adequate level of protection in accordance with POPIA.

6.3. Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, AutoNexus ensures that the recipient is subject to laws, binding corporate rules, or contractual obligations that provide an adequate level of protection as required under Section 72 of POPIA.

7. Data Retention

7.1. AutoNexus retains your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

7.2. Upon account termination, AutoNexus will delete Your Data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7.3. Certain information may be retained for longer periods if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial records for tax compliance).

8. Data Security

8.1. AutoNexus implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of sensitive personal information at rest and data in transit
• Access controls and authentication
• Regular security assessments

8.2. Despite these efforts, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. AutoNexus cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.3. If AutoNexus becomes aware of a security compromise involving your personal information, AutoNexus will notify the Information Regulator and affected data subjects as required by Section 22 of POPIA.

• Object to processing of your information
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent

9.3. AutoNexus will respond to your request within a reasonable time, not exceeding 30 days.

10. Cookies and Tracking

10.1. The Service uses browser cookies and storage to manage your authentication session.

10.2. The Service does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party tracking technologies.
